Love it. Should be great for the surrounding communities of South C, Bush, and South Shore. More traffic means more clientele. More clientele means more attention to upkeep of the neighborhood streets, parks, & schools. Brown and black youth mere footsteps away from jobs, clean park facilities, & professionals. Culture is the most important aspect of raising successful individuals. These neighborhoods will benefit greatly from the influx. Growth & development. Chi-town Stand Up. *BONUS ROUNDS*

Hmmmm, a City within a City…A gated Community within Chicago.
    How about low income housing?
Public Schools with busing from the inner City?
Or is it just for the wealthy? The powerful?
I can just see it now, a mini Bud Biliken Parade, a school for RAP, Housing painted with Gang colors.
    You say no?
    I say Why not?

I must mention that Alderman Pope, Claretian Associates, the South Chicago and East Side Chambers have been working on this as well as Marian Byrnes (now deceased) the army corps of engineers & numerous other agencies were a part of the original charrette and the three that followed. Plus there are two TIF’s 96 million & 92 Million for the infrastructure.

The community has been working on this for the last five years with Skidmore & Owens, City of Chicago’s Dept. Planning & Development, IL & IN State agencies, Friends of the Park, Southeast Historical Society. CSI, Southeast Environmental Task Force & additional organization, but thanks to McCaffery,, Sandi Jackson & Bill Kurtis for promoting it. This is mostly in South Chicago & Bush, which is really in the 10th Ward not the 7th. Please “Just do it!” It’s the best Real Estate in the city.
