Helen asks…

Apartment or hotel which accommodation is better and safe?

I’m going to maylaysia for 10 days on a tourist visa by the end of June. Should I book a hotel or apartment which one is cheaper safe and better. I am going there alone. Kalaumpur is my destination.

Administrator answers:

There are many international standard hotels and apartments in Kuala Lumpur and they are all safe to stay. Actually staying at any hotel in Kuala Lumpur is safe, it is while on the street that you need to be vary of snatch thieves. Apartments are more suitable for family and for longer stay. Since you are travelling alone, a hotel would be a better option for you. If money is not an issue for you, then just check into one of the many 4 or 5 star hotels in the city.

William asks…

How can I find apartment on east fairview at a cheaper price?

I only saw one apartment i need more detail and information about other apartment on east fairveiw in Montgomery alabama? I also need find a one or two bedroom apartment?

Administrator answers:

There just aren’t that many apartments available along that stretch of East Fairview Avenue. There are only about three blocks’ worth of rental units on the north side of Fairview between Narrow Lane Road and Agnew Street, and most of them are either condos or are rented to people associated with Huntingdon College because it is so close (or both). Maybe you should rent a duplex or fourplex in Cloverdale, College Park, or Cloverdale/Idlewild.

George asks…

Any ideas on a good vacuum for cheap carpet?

I rent an apartment, and it has really cheap carpet in it. I am looking for help in finding a good vacuum I can use on this carpet. My current vacuum is always getting clogged by carpet balls, fluff, crap, whatever you want to call it, and I spend more time unclogging than I do cleaning. Please, any ideas on a good vacuum? I really like bagless (No, I can’t change the carpet or switch to wood or tile floors. I soooo wish I could!)

Administrator answers:

I just bought the Dyson DC14 All-Floor vacuum and it is amazing how well this vacuum works. I bought a refurb, so mine cost a little under $300. Dyson bagless vacuums are known for being powerful and also resist clogging. These vacuums are well worth the cost and I have heard that they last a long time compared to other vacuums. I got my Dyson vacuum at for a really good price.

Mark asks…

I am looking for a 3 bedroom apartment near NDSU fargo, for cheap but still good quality, what do you suggest?

I am looking for an apartment next year for myself and two other people. We go to NDSU in Fargo and were looking for somewhere close to there and reasonably inexpensive. I have looked online but have only found a few places and was wondering if any of you live around the area and have suggestions. Thanks!

Administrator answers:

Web sites might be a good place to find an apartment or house to rent, if you want to go through the entire list to find one in your state and then city.

The best place to look for places to rent is to go to the yellow pages of your telephone book, look under property managers.

These individuals list properties for rent in certain areas, so make sure you select the areas in which you wish to rent.

Call several of the property managers listed there, tell them you want a list of properties that they have for rent. Some will fax, email or mail the list of local places to rent along with the address, number of bedrooms and bath rooms, amenities available, such as washer and dryers or gyms, the monthly rental of the unit. Most will include a rental application. These list will include the monthly rental required, if a lease or month to month agreement will be signed. They will also indicate if they will accept Section 8 vouchers. They will also indicate it they have disabled access, allow pets and if so the type allowed.

They might indicate a web site that you might visit to get their list of places to rent. It does not cost to get a rental list from a reputable property manager.

Some will require you to stop by their office and pick up the list. A lot of them post their list outside so the list are available 24/7 365.

Make sure you don’t fall for the scams and purchase a list as 70%-80% of these list are composed of free list they have compiled. They are not the property managers of any property in most instances.

You might also google Property managers in whatever city or community you want to live in and see what comes up. Again do not pay for this information as it is free from reliable property managers.

You might consider obtaining a crime report from the city in which you would want to reside.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
