Jenny asks…

If you had a choice betwee buying a house in europe, or small apartment in America, what would you chose?

Just comparing prices, it makes sense to relocate to a part of Europe where the houses are cheap.. then to pay the same for an apartment in America.
I would buy a housein Europe instead, even if I couldnt relocate, I would lease that house to some family, and have extra income.. it would pay off overtime, I think.

Administrator answers:

Hands down Europe…

I can’t stay in a hotel on huntington beach for anymore than a week because of how stupidly expensive it is. Where can I rent a cheap apartment or find whether anyone is willing to rent a room out to me?
Peace

What’s the best place for living in America for a half year?

my cousin and I are planning to go to america in 2009 and stay there for 6 months. We have been to Florida alot, i love miami but we want something totaly new…so what are the cheapest places, but still exciting to live there, good jobs to get, good apartments, safe etc?

Administrator answers:

It would be great for you to check out a work/study program or some type of exchange program. Doing this will hook you up with others like you and the program would make sure that you would get to see some great sites and things. Sometimes these programs provide housing as well.

There are SO many great things to do and places to live in the United States. Different cities and states can be completely different cultures.

I would suggest researching Chicago, New York, Dallas and any other place you’ve heard of or seen and then make a list of pros and cons and what prices you find on apartments, etc and then choosing from that list.

Have fun! It’s a great experience to spend time in another culture/country!

Chris asks…

Why are houses and apartments in like America, Japan.. So expensive?

It’s much cheaper in the UK

Administrator answers:

In, like, Japan, space is at a Premium. Small island, lots of people, not a lot of open space.

America, like, is a big country and housing isn’t always expensive. You can have a $100,000 home in, like, Montana that would be $5,000,000 in, like, Malibu or Kensington (UK).
