Where can you buy a nice house in California for 20,000 dollars or less?
I been looking around and I don’t know why, but I been having a difficult time trying to find a house in that price range in the state of California. Why is it tough to find a house, condo or even an apartment in California for a cheap to decent price?

Try putting this in the San Jose section, since Atwater is much closer to that area than San Francisco, and perhaps people would know more about it.

What cities in the High Desert area of California are safe and affordable?
I’m planning on moving to cali next year for school and im finding really cheap apartments in palmdale and victorville…but when i was looking up reviews online people were saying that the high desert areas werent safe and were full of gangs. So i wanna know what areas are safe and affordable, i dont mind living in the desert areas but i dont wanna be in areas full of gangs. If there arent any good areas in the high desert, what areas are affordable and safe within an hour of LA?

Everybody has a different definition of affordable. Your definition is a lot different from mine.
And also, there is no such as a “safe” area. No city is immune to crime.
Cheap + safe = Doesn’t exist in California. If you want “safe,” you pay a premium.
Advice: Finish school where you’re at and then come back when you have enough money to afford the area.

Apartments To Rent In California And Jobs?
Does anyone know any good cheap perhaps low budget apartments in LA? Not to expensive with rent, like maybe around 700 to 800 every month? Also does anyone know any jobs that are hiring out there? Because i heard it’s pretty bad in Cali and people are getting laid off. So i’m trying to look for a job that pays like 40,000/50,000 per year annual salary.

Anything that cheap is going to be deep in the ghetto, you will not find ghetto housing online, you will have to drive around the hood and look for a sign. This would only be a small studio.

What’s the best : Florida or California ?
I’m a french student, I am moving to the United States next year for my graduate studies.
After LOTS of research, I am interested in universities in California ( CSULB, CSUN, Cal Poly Pomona..) and in Florida (FSU, FIU, FAU…).
I noticed that tuition in California is cheaper, however apartment rental is cheaper in Florida (also, the cost of the travel will also be cheaper if I go to Florida…).
Therefore, I don’t know which choice would be the best ? Where am I going to pay less ?

As you have already told that both the cities have some pros and some cons. SO go with the city which has good education system because ultimately it is education only which will be your asset.
