There is no need to ask over and over again.

Helen asks…

Income Based Apartments or Resources in Memphis TN?

Does anyone have info on where I can find a list of income-based apartment rentals in the memphis area? Those federally funded places that base your rent on your income? I have a friend that is stuck in a bad situation and needs a way to get on her feet. I wanted to help her find some resources and am having trouble finding this information. Thanks

Administrator answers:

Your friend needs to contact the housing authority first. There are lots of project housing units, but they are based on % of median income, the social workers first have to figure out which, if any, project your friend is qualified for, then give you the list. There are 30% ones, 40% and 50%.
