Lizzie asks…

Does anyone know of income based apartments in Gastonia NC?

My husband just left me and i have a premature son. i am not working but i recieve SSI for my son.

Administrator answers:

Gastonia Housing Authority
Phone: (704)864-6771
Fax: (704)861-8545 340 E Long Avenue
Gastonia
NC 28054

It’s called Section 8. I don’t know the approval process, but it doesn’t have to be an apartment complex. It could also be a private ownership. Call them to get started.

Paul asks…

Does anyone know of income based apartments in Bakersfield, Ca?

I’ve tried everywhere around here, I’m disabled also and no help, I’m on 2 lists and my credit is bad.

Administrator answers:

You are on the list already. You can’t move into the income based housing until your number comes up. The list is not linear, you were placed on it according to your need. If you are in serious need you should not be on the list for very long.

Get your credit up though, you are further limiting yourself with bad credit. The better places will reject you.

Donna asks…

How do I find rent based on income apartments?

I am looking for something for a friend. I need either an apartment or house that is rent based on income. For a family of 5 in Texas. Any ideas on where to start?

Administrator answers:

Contact your city or county’s housing authority.

Joseph asks…

Does anyone know any low income or income based apartments in the Atlanta, Clayton, or decatur area?

I need a good area for my son too who is 7 months.

Administrator answers:

You apply to all through the housing authority. You can only apply where you work or live now, not anywhere.
