Richard asks…

Why do people say one bedroom apartments are creepy and that you should always have a roomate?

Administrator answers:

Creepy as in how? To live alone? To be lonely? To give the impression of alienation? I dont know w hats creep about it.

Ive lived alone 20 years. Its not so bad. Granted I do miss having companionship but having room mates isnt always easier either. Or a live in lover or wife. Living alone is the lesser of the evils perhaps in the end?

What should I expect to pay in a 2 bedroom apartments utilities?

My boyfriend, myself and our 2 year old are working on a budget to move very soon. We would like to get a 2 bedroom apartment around Cincinnati, OH and are expecting to find a place for about 700 a month in rent. We are curious as to how much the average 2 bedroom apartment costs in utilities. Please help us out! Thank You!

Administrator answers:

My boyfriend and I live in a two bedroom apartment currently and we spend about $110 on heat and electric and about $120 every three months on water.. We also have cable and internet that costs us $70 a month. It really depends on every person though. What you can do is call your states public services and ask for an estimate for electric bill from previous renters at the address. Thats what I do everytime I rent a place.

Chris asks…

How much would utilities be in a small one bedroom apartment in Toronto?

I’m considering moving into a one bedroom apartment downtown Toronto, but the ones I’m interested in don’t come with utilities. Roughly speaking, how much would utilities be on average? I know it depends on the person, but obviously I would be a little bit more cautious in terms of my use of electricity and heat so use wouldn’t be too extensive.

I’ve heard that it should cost roughly 80 dollars a month or more.

Thanks for all of the advice!

Administrator answers:

Estimating the utility bill for one bedroom apartment will be much easy if you mention the appliances you have. But mostly it range 80 to 100 dollars a month. But this can still be reduces if you know how to save electricity.
