Your Questions About Please Can I Keep It Lyrics

June 8, 2013

Carol asks…

What do you think of my lyrics?

Please let me know what you think, please be harsh critical if you must, or compassionate and enthusiastic if necessary, all opinions are taken into consideration and appreciated. Please keep in mind that these lyrics magically came to me while writing, so if they already exist or i‘m copying someone else, please let me know, or if i‘ve done anything wrong, i‘m sorry, this is extremely rough draft. Also if you have any suggestions or word changes, feel free to let me know as well. Thank you for the feedback ahead! :)

I found an empty street without a name
It took sometime to know who to blame
Cause everything out here seems so unreal
Can you tell me what i‘m supposed to feel?
I‘ve been questioning every move I make
Every turn dip or step I want to take
Off in the distance I spot a sign
How can I know which direction is mine?

I. Found. the compass in my hands..
North. South. East. West.
Every direction i‘m travellin..
Every breath that i‘m breathing..
and those words that i‘m hearin..
those choices are up to me

I have a few chords in mind, but nothing is official yet, and i still need to add a second verse and a bridge, any ideas, comments, or critiques please. I‘m also not sure how this will be played, I do have a band forming shortly possibly, or I am also a pianist, how do you think this song should be portrayed, if at all?

Administrator answers:

Susan asks…

Song Lyrics Please!?!?!?

I go to a Adv. Arts School and we have an assignment do in 2 weeks. The assignment is to write a song. I want my song to very happy and fun! So I need the music (piano only) and lyrics. Who ever can write great lyrics with no rap or cussing that would be great. I am only thirteen so keep it simple and original. Please send lyrics to: KarabelleDragoFanMail@gmail.com Thank You So much!

Administrator answers:

You’re in Adv. Art School for a reason. Having other people do your work is not helping you refine your skill.
I’m sure if you try hard enough and set our mind to it you can create something poetic and beautiful.
Good luck though!

Steven asks…

the title and artist of this song please!?!? (with some lyrics)?

I can‘t find it on google or anywhere else! It goes:

I feel so freeee
If you wanna go (nananana)
let me show you (nananana)
You set me free

And then I‘m not sure, but I also think what it says is:
Now it‘s time to make you mine
Summer love

If you know it, or keep hearing too, please help me! I‘m going crazy!:p

Administrator answers:

Hot nights, color of lights
Soft hips, and you’re painting your lips to gimme
One look, and our soul
’cause you know someone love this song

You turn me on, you set me free
There ain’t no place i would rather be
And now is time, you should be mine
And yeah you know someone love this song

I feel so free, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free yeah, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free yeah, ’cause someone love this song

Girl, we can go na na na
If you wanna go we can do na na na
Just lemme take you home we can try na na na X2
Baby lemme show you how to do na na na

One rule, keep your cool
I sure got me eye on you, oh gimme
One chance, just one dance
’cause i know someone love this song

You turn me on, you set me free
There ain’t no place i would rather be
And now is time, you should be mine
And yeah you know someone love this song

I feel so free, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free yeah, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free, ’cause someone love this song
I feel so free yeah, ’cause someone love this song

I feel so, i feel so, i feel so free
I feel so, i feel so, i feel so free yeah

Charles asks…

Can you rate these song lyrics?

*PLEASE NOTE*: These are not my lyrics, they are from this song:

I found a translation of the lyrics in the comment box, and would like to hear what people who speak English think about it. Please keep in mind that much of the wordplay and figurative language is lost in translation.

Would there be elation and youth, the beloved and a chalice full;
Several flowers, a few friends, a mellow evening.
Passion be light and fire, and the heart a flaming tandoor;
I would gladly give up your heavens to embrace such a life.
I’d far prefer this gain because no color is at rest;
Each moment, each hue of life, is your time’s helpless slave;
And the mullah says, in paradise, time would be my slave –
If he were somehow undone, all my troubles would end

If I find eternal youth, it would become a curse;
I cherish it now as its beauty is soon consumed.
An eternally full moon, an eternal sweet sixteen,
Eternal youth, a river of wine, is it a reward or hell?
I’d weep after this world, and yearn for the night’s crescent,
And remember everyday, the thin mist of eventide.
Sick of faithful houris, I’d seek a fickle beloved;
Man is a hunter by nature, and revels in hunting.

And sulk after the cupbearer’s half-full chalice.
Anything eternal becomes a curse and a catastrophe;
It suits only you, this eternal beginning and end.
Man seeks in each new palace a new beloved;
Seeks red flowers in a wasteland, seeks lighting at night;
He’s lost in unending darkness, and blinded by perpetual light;
He is the child of change and cannot stay the same.
If you took him to heaven, this nature and this being,

He’ll soon be searing and weeping with sore eyes.
O lord of great bestowal, turn this world into heaven!
The formula is simple, comprising these three things –
As I’ve said before, a beloved, youth, and a chalice,
So that my silly head is amused from time to time;
And after this worldly death, endow me to the Mullah,
If the wretch would be appeased by mere dreams of houris.

Give me a houri here – lively, full, and fair –
A loving white candle, which burns and flames
In her glance myriad colors; in her nature myriad moods;
With manners such as spring – now sunshine, now rain;
Would she be under one skin, a harem of women;
Now brimming and vivacious, now quiet and retiring;
And in my tired heart, kindle restive flames,
Blazing like fire and dancing like a rill,

And with one impatient glance, intoxicate me so
As to leave everyone amazed and the cupbearer envious.
In place of those thousands give me one here;
Turn my eternal youth to a few years’ rejoicing;
If you cannot do this, lord, keep your fat houris;
I neither need them there nor miss them here.
Those fat and fair ones who yield without entreaty;
Wide and hungry eyes, wallowing in malmal.
Lord! My beloved lord! Just grant this one prayer,
Or else, your Ghani would pine away in love.
